Akiyama wins GHC title

Jun Akiyama defeated Akira Taue to win GHC heavyweight title on 2006/01/22 at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

I was hoping for Taue to keep the title for a few months. Not that I dislike Akiyama, but he needs to bring fans in NOAH rings. My guess is that it's his last chance to carry the ball. If he doesn't do a good job, he won't be champ again and will be stamped "Failure" on the forehead.
