    Vaders Title History

I recently read Vader is in NOAH so thats why this is on this forum but I was just wondering if any one could name every Japanese wrestling championship that Vader has held in his career.

    Titles won by Vader

Vader's first championship in Japan was the IWGP Heavyweight Title when he beat Shinya Hashimotoh on 4/24/89 in the Tokyo Dome in a 8-man tournament when Fujinami vacated the title. He has held that title on 3 occasions beating Riki Chosyu and Tatsumi Fujinami.

Vader has also held the IWGP Tag Team Titles with Bam Bam Bigelow they defeated Keiji Mutoh and Hiroshi Hase on 3/1/92 they lost them to the Steiner Brothers.

He has also held the UWFi title. I believe he beat Nobuhiko Takada.

Then he made history, he became the Triple Crown Champion in All Japan on 3/6/99 to become the first man ever whether it be a Japanese or American or any nationality to have held the Triple Crown, the IWGP and the UWFi titles. And on further note, he will be the only man to do so (unless Nobuhiko Takada comes back, joins All Japan and wins the Triple Crown )

Where did the Catch Wrestling Association run? I don't think I've ever heard of them.

CWA was based in Austria and also ran in Germany. A main group in those countries for many years until it closed couple years ago. Their top star and the promoter Otto Wanz is a former AWA World Heavyweight champ. They also had a working relationship with New Japan and booked the stars such as Fujinami, Vader, Chono, Benoit, Owen Hart, Yamada, etc., etc.

CWA also had Fit Finley, Dave Taylor, Lance Storm, Danny Collians, and Tenzan working for them in either 93 or 95, I'm not sure which.

Vader was a true world champs as he held the CWA(Europe), UWA(North America), and IWGP(Asia) titles at the same time. He has had good runs everywhere except the WWF. However, he was supposed to get the title reign that Sid got but he didn't as he was injured.

that would have really been something to have the WWF, WCW, IWGP, and Triple crown on your resume.

Speaking of Vader, I remember when he left the WWF there was a rumour doing the rounds that he was heading to ECW. How great would that have been to see him take on Taz, Bigelow, Douglas etc anhd lift the ECW World title. I guess now he can't do that he could always work NWA:TNA part time. I just wanna see him lift more titles, will Misawa give him the GHC belt?

    No EcDub

His relase sated he could not wrestle for any staeside promotion. That is why he headde back to Japan. His old contract is obviously up and he could wrestle for TNA, it would be cool to see him add the NWA Title to his impressive list.

He didn't go to ECW because Heyman wanted Vader to job to Tazz, then the ECW Champion.
I have lot all my respect for my namesake...there I would like to be known as WilliamsFan from now on...I feel disgraced with the name of Edge on me...

Didn't Vader also hold the NJPW Title With Shinya Hashimoto or Scott Norton?

I read in a Vader interview that he was supposed to go in there billed as 'the guy the WWF and WCW are afraid to let in the ring' and then they would have built him as a monster. Funny when u think about it: in 93 evryone sed Sid's going nowhere, Vader's the monster in WCW, then came the scissors and Sid was dropped. A couple of years later, Sid gets Vader's WWF push, Vader's title run, then his ECW run and a lucrative WCW run which he'd never have gotten if Heyman hadn't used him like that.
Another thing is that Vader didnt go to ECW because he was commited to All-Japan.

I didn't think Heyman would have fed Vader to Taz like that, If anything he would have had them feud over the title or something like that. Wow, what would that feud be like? I can only imagine
