Shin'ya Hashimoto challenged Steve Corino for NWA World Heavyweight title on 2001/10/13 in St. Petersburg, FL during the NWA 53rd Anniversary Card. Referee stopped the match after Corino became unable to continue due to the kicks into his head and once raised Hashimoto's hand as a winner. However, after a "heated" argument among the NWA promoters, the new NWA president Jim Miller announced that the title was held-up.

Strange you say that. I read on 1wrestling.com (who by the way refer to puroresu.com as a GREAT website to which I can nothing but agree) the other day that Corino retains the title and the match is declared a no-contest.
