don't laugh too hard at your own jokes. the NWA International Title was by no means a secondary title, neither was the PWF Heavyweight Title. the reason why the japanese titles are legit is simply the quality of puroresu. if any american promotion could offer that kind of match quality, they'd be legit too. oh, and by the way, historically world titles have nothing to do with facing all comers and wrestling everywhere. they have something to do with being the man, and honoring the legacy of the belt, not with giving any yokel from the crowd a shot at your title.
Let me feel you in own a little secret, If the titles name aint World, Global, Universal, heavyweight, or GHC it cant be more! The name of the title itselfs demotes it.

ok, i'll let you in on it: what matters about the titles is the match quality. the match quality stems from the workers' quality and if one of them happens to be the champ, then so the quality of his work makes the title. if the main title of New Japan would be called Kanagawa Prefecture Heavyweight Title, i'd still take that over any circus World Title around. And sorry if you don't understand how the NWA international heavyweight title was one of the most prestigious in the world. the pwf heavyweight title was also called a world title and for many years was "Baba's belt", but eventually the world reference got phased out cause the NWA only wanted its members to recognize their world title.
what a title is called is no more than a label. if you don't wise up on that at least, its useless to discuss.

Exactly. The name doesn't really matter. What makes a championship "prestigious" is how it's booked. Making people care about it is the most important thing.

Let's play Charades. Only with words. You'll never guess who I'm thinking of.

So you mean to tell me that my Pacific Atlantic Internationally World Global Grand Prix Universal Heavyweight Championship of the Galaxy that I made for backyard wrestling isn't automatically better than a Crown that is only Honored Globally but even really outside of Japan? I'm confused.
My blog is better than ZACH's blog.
