    Severn NWA Champ again?

Can anyone explain to me the logic is giving Severn the title of Hashimoto? I would think that if NWA wanted to go with a shooter champ then why not give it to Naoya Ogawa whom has a nice feud history with Hashimoto.

Because Severn will do the bidding of the American NWA promoters. Hashimoto wouldn't. Hashimoto was refusing to come to the States to defend stating that American promoters do not know how to respect a title match. He's right. The worse bit is that NWA ruined all of Corino's hard work in legitimizing the title by pulling that BS screw finish in Japan.

That pretty much sums it up. When the executive commitee comes together they want someone that isn't busy running his own company touring the country. I remember reading on the NWA's site that they expected Severn to be a fighting champion like Corino. Hopefully, there will be a few credible title changes over the next few years to build the title back up.

I really wish they would give the title to Gary Steele... he was robbed by those two idiots Inoki and Tony Rumble (good riddance to both from the NWA)

I reckon Jeff Jarrett will get it soon anyway. I mean the Jarrett's are affiliated with the NWA now, right?

I was under the impression that Jarrett's group was going to use the name NWA, but not actually be a part of the alliance. Can anyone confirm this?

Severn will be in jarrett's NWA, and will almost certainly drop the title to Jeff.

The Jarrett's are going to be using the name, but are not actual members.

Also, from what I've been told, Jeff is not going to be the first champion once things get rolling.

Jeff has stated in multiple interviews last week that TNA is actually a member of the NWA(and I would assume now the strongest seeing as no one in the alliance seems to like Hashimotot). He's also stated that he will have nothing to do with the creative aspect of TNA, so the only way he will be getting the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is if the Alliance as a whole decides to make the move.
