Ric Flair used to refer to himself as a 60:00 man...

I guess Tank Abbott is the 46 second man after his UFC showing Friday night.

Who'd have thunk that a 3 year vodka bender would adversely affect Tank's chances?

    Hey:

I've always hated Abbott and was really hoping he would be quickly finished on Friday night, but in light of Frank Mir's unacceptable comments/behavior before and after the fight, I wish Tank had punched the little bastard's lights out.

"I don't train to make guys tap, I train to break bones and send them to the hospital"

What kind of blockheaded a-hole says something like this, let alone on camera? After the fight, Mir pranced around the ring like a rooster and proceeded to disrespect Abbott further on the mic. No one ever accused Tank of being a good sport, but Mir's mouth and attitude sickened me. You would think that after being crushed by Ian Freeman this guy would be somewhat humble.

    Alas Techno...

To the victor goes the spoils...I dare say Mr. Abbott can be as offensive with his "sportsmanship"

Admittedly, I haven't seen the show yet, but it sounds to me like Mir is just promoting himself to gain some notoriety. As far as I'm concerned what Mir or anyone else says is just words and is more or less harmless. While I agree it's nice to see fighters show some class, I think it's fun to hear them talk some smack sometimes too.

UFC's management is still trying to work out it's fight promotion skills and I think they might have told him before the fight to try and create some interest in a rematch besides it doesn't really matter what he said that crowd was into Tank big time.

Not only age, but the fighters are just so much more skilled than they were in Tank's heyday.

Hey fellas, I'm new here and this is my first post. My friend Technosphile sent me.

Even in his heyday Tank was far from impressive in his sportsmanship or anything else aside from his punches. Crimini, how many times did he trip over his own feet and completely bungle a match? I wasn't real surprised that it ended quickly and in Mir's favor.

Mir's conduct is great for the WWE mentality folks but it's hardly respectful, respectable or sportsmanlike. I loved that crazy toehold, but this guy needs to shut his wise lip.
