1. I've always thought 10 was the best but I've don't buy every show. Some of the results were disappointing but the matches were good. 17 and 25 are pretty good too.
2. It's not the greatest match or anything but I like Frye-Takayama from 21 the best. I wasn't into the show at all before they came out and it still the Pride match I've watched the most.
3. I've always associated Sakuraba with Pride even though he has lost something the last two years.
1- Either the GP 2000 (because of the 1 night format and Sak vs Royce) or PRIDE 17 would be my favourites. Silva vs Sak II for the MW title, Minotauro vs Heath for the HW Title and Ninja vs Hendo make up for the rest of the card, which was less than stellar.
I also liked PRIDE 13 and 14.
2- I've a special place in my heart for Daijiro Matsui vs Pele.
The quintessential underdog win which had me on the edge of my seat.
Best event, hard to say. 10 was a favorite of mine and so was the grand prix, but you cant forget 5. that had some good matches, especially takada with a surprise victory over coleman, sakuraba making vitor his man-ho, and the igor vs shoji match was like a mirror match. the inoue matches tho were disappointing, but it is still a good and surprising pride event. best fight could be so many things, sakuraba vs vernon white at P2, sak vs renzo at 10, but there are so many good ones. as for the best fighter, silva is pretty mean, coleman could represent pride since he did win the GP 2000, but i think sak is the name that comes to mind when you say pride.

But I'm not telling you anything you don't already know...
Just got the Grand Prix DVDs in last week (Two Double-Disc boxes) and have finished watching them completely, as I'd seen a few matches from the tournament but not the entire thing. I had never seen the Sak/Royce marathon b/c I just thought knowing Royce that it would be a bore-fest, but surprisingly it was my favorite match, despite taking up almost an entire disc by itself. Royce actually went on the attack and threw some nasty strikes, atleast for him, as I'd never seen him so offensively aggressive. Sak was his usual entertaining self through-out and the defensive play between the two was outstanding as both men are just so quick and intelligent with their leverage and balance. A great fight, very..very..very..long, but great nontheless.
