Today between tornado watches I caught the K-1 shows on ESPN2 and I liked them a lot. The 10am block featured-
Cung Le vs. Scott Sheely
Ernesto Hoost vs. Jerome LeBanner (twice)
Carter Williams vs. Yusuke Fujimoto
Carter Williams vs. Rick Roufus
Bob Sapp vs. Ernesto Hoost
Mark Hunt vs. Gary Goodrich
It was more interesting then good but Cung Le really impressed me and I couldn't believe the Bob Sapp match. 3 of the matches were from the "Enter the Beast" PPV and 2 from the 2002 Grand Prix. The 4pm block had better in ring work and featured-
Cung Le vs. Phil Petit
Carter Williams vs. Dewey Cooper
Michael McDonald vs. George Randolph
Remy Bonjasky vs. Jeff Ford
Remy Bonjasky vs. Michael McDonald
Mark Hunt vs. Francisco Filho
Michael McDonald vs. Rick Roufus
The first five matches were from the "Battle at the Bellagio" PPV. Some wrestler needs to steal Cung Le's scissor takedown. Not sure how they will air these blocks I haven't found them listed anywhere so you pretty much just have to set your VCR and hope you get a good run of matches but it's worth a look.
If the TV listing are correct K-1 is on the schedule for tomorrow on ESPN starting at 1. Not sure what they're going to show they list Saitama and Las Vegas as the locations. That gives them five shows to choose from. I'm hoping for Sapp-Crocop from March but with my luck it will be Butterbean. The Vegas matches were featured in the shows I watched so they might be reruns but check it out if you can. It's worth seeing Cung Le fight he is very entertaining.
