Anyone know any more news on the efforts to keep Bat-bat alive? The last I heard, in November, was that Ishikawa, Usuda and Malenko were trying to get a new financing deal to re-start in the spring. Obviously, I'd love this so much, although there would be no Yone (Noah) and Otsuka (who said he wanted to make PRIDE his base).
Big question - is it going to happen? With February upon us, and Spring near - will we see more BattlArts? Any info appreciated.
Well your guess is as good as mine, fellow exodus brother... I can only just pray that Ishikawa decides that there is enough freelance talent about that he can run shows temoporarily. What with Otsuka now a full tine Shoot Fighter, Hidaka (sob) at Michinoku and Yone (double sob... where's my afro come) at NOAH, who knows who we'll see fighting in B@B@ (that's a clever version of BatBat).
Maybe we'll see a good shoot promotion link up with them. Hands up who would love to see RINGS and BattlARTS join up? I know I would. And I'd KILL to see Murakami come back and have an epic feud with Maeda.
It's a thought.... a long shot.... but a thought.
P.S: I'm new to the board. I am another member of the WD board who's posting here now. Welcome me, adore me... all that stuff
Well, the way I see it is that with the exception of Otsuka and Yone - everyone else will be available. Hidaka is busy with MPro, but Batbat and MPro have always had a good working relationship and Im sure Hidaka would come back, if it restarts.
