    Sakuraba and Tamura

With Tamura fighting Silva on PRIDE's next event, a lot of people have been hyping up the whole Tamura and Sakuraba situation. I've heard and read the two have had it bad since the UWF-i days and what not, could someone clear this up for me, what exactly is the deal between Tamura and Sakuraba, it must be really bad blood if the Takada Dojo spoke out about not wanting Tamura to compete in PRIDE. Thanks in advance.

As soon as UWFI started co-promoting with New Japan, Tamura bailed out and jumped to RINGS. Good for him because he would obviously get squashed, but bad for relations with Takada.

ah, i figured as much as that. I also read around the net on other MMA forums it's because when Sakuraba was under Tamura's training and what not he treated him bad.

I'm rooting for Tamura as well, if he's smart he'll take it to the ground as quickly as possible, Tamura's stand up game is questionable, at least under PRIDE rules since all his fights have been under Rings rules. He does have good kicks though, but against Vanderlei Silva he should take him down and work from there because Tamura's ground skills are exceptional and tremendous. I don't think he'll want to stand up with Silva anyway, Silva will just keep coming forward and attacking so the best way to neutralize that is to go on the ground. Hopefully Tamura can win, but in my mind I some what doubt it, if he won the possibilities of Sakuraba vs Tamura is highly likely down the line considering the hype they've built between Sakuraba and Tamura's personal heat with each other.

Yeah to be totally honest..I dont think Tamura will win. I predict silva for K.O. But I hope to *** not! I can see it now, just another Japanese fighter under silvas belt! Although Sak nearly had him in Pride17.(Which IMO should've been a draw!)

Its like the japanese need to do more muay thai training or something.
