Looking to get into PRIDE

Hey Everybody. I am interested in starting to watch PRIDE and talk about, etc. However, I'd like a little background information. Does PRIDE have championship belts? Who are the best PRIDE fighters? If I rented a PRIDE video, would it be in Japanese? How popular of a thing is shoot fighting in Japan and America?
