Inoki WWF Win Officially Recognized

This has been cited on other message boards. Apparently, the WWF site has, as of today begun to recognize Inoki's win over Backlund for the title in Japan in 1979 OFFICIALLY. They have it in the WWF title history section, from what I have read. haven't checked out the site myself.

Any insight on whether or not Backlund got screwed in this match? More than one person I have conversed with on this subject swear that Backlund had no idea he was going to be counted down when it happened.

Anyone who has seen it, I would love to hear your take on this.

I heard that it was a worked Shoot.

One thing that speaks for a worked one is that Backlung gave some Interviews backstage after the Match.
