    JWA question

    Hi.

I've a question about JWA. I read that JWA had two TV Shows (Apparently one with Nippon Television, and one with TV Station NET). And there was a particular thing : Giant Baba was on a show, and couldn't appear on the second show. And Inoki was part of this second show, and couldn't appear on the first show. Until then, all is well. But there was BI Cannon, a tag-team made of these two men, and they were champions from 1967 to 1971. How was it possible, if they weren't able to appear on the same show ?

Or these two shows were like Smackdown and RAW, and there was things like PPV ? I don't really understand what happened.

    Thanks a lot !

As the condition for letting NET broadcast JWA cards, they weren't allowed to air:
    • Matches involving Giant Baba or Seiji Sakaguchi
    • International Heavyweight Championship matches
    • International Tag Team Championship matches
    • World League (annual round-robin tournament) matches
So, Inoki and everybody else were allowed to be on Nippon TV, but NET decided to push him as the network' main star. Thus, the creation of United National Title for Inoki.

It wasn't like the roster split WWE has.
